The Virudhunagar District Badminton Association, formerly known as the Ramnad District Badminton Association, was founded in 1983 by Sri A.S.C. Bose and Smt. Kanchanaa Bose to promote sports. The construction of A.J. Stadium began in 1984 on leased land from Sri S. Adhipen Bose and was completed in 1986, with major contributions from the founders and generous donations. The stadium features four synthetic badminton courts, three wooden badminton courts, a gym, a basketball court, a swimming pool, a walking track, and a table tennis facility. Special coaching is provided for students, and district, state, and national tournaments are held regularly. Membership has grown significantly from 84 members in 2014 to over 180 members today.

A.J. Stadium, one of Tamil Nadu well-known indoor badminton stadiums, was built in 1980 by Sri A.S.C. Bose and Smt. Kanchanaa Bose to promote badminton and fitness. Open to both men and women, the stadium offers professional coaching for students, led by experienced instructors to enhance their skills and techniques.
